With time winding down, Martin Erat skated the puck into the Edmonton zone and dished it to his right for Sam Gagner, who then fired the puck over to the left wing where a skating Ekman-Larsson blasted a shot into the right corner of the net just before the final buzzer. When you give a guy like Ekman-Larsson a shot like that, hes not going to miss too often, said Oilers goaltender Ben Scrivens, who finished with 42 saves. Brandon McMillan scored his first goal of the season while Devan Dubnyk stopped 30 shots for the Coyotes, who snapped a nine-game home losing streak and won in front of their fans for the first time since Nov. 4 against Toronto. It feels great, McMillan said of the win. Its nice to get one for the fans. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins had the only goal of the game for the Oilers, who have dropped their past five games. Edmonton scored at 14:56 of the first period as Nugent-Hopkins skated down the left wing and put the puck in from down low for his eighth goal of the season. The Spurs used a balanced scoring attack and clamped down defensively late in the third quarter to claim the win. Russell Westbrook knocked down a jumper with 5:09 left in the third to give the Thunder a 76-75 lead -- their first since a 5-4 edge early in the first -- but after Kevin Durant drained a jumper of his own nearly 30 seconds later, San Antonio turned up the intensity on the defensive end. The Spurs held Oklahoma City to just one field goal over the next seven-plus minutes, turning a one-point deficit into a 13-point advantage early in the fourth quarter.
